"Substance' is a three-channel moving image work with a custom-made soundtrack created by Martyn Riley that explores the financial centres in London: Canary Wharf andThe City of London juxtaposed with a performative act of flexing muscles.
The project aims to embrace the moving image's inherent complexities, uncertainties,and possibilities while offering a critical perspective on the relationship between society and the neoliberal capital model during an unprecedented economic crisis
